The gray heron with the turtle was made as stained glass for the living room of a lake house in Venice. It is always very challenging to solder thin glass surfaces – e.g. gray heron legs – because the glass here is very thin, which makes it very sensitive and can break extra easily during soldering. It looked amazing in the setting sun.

Restoration of hunting lodge stained glass windows. The stained glass window is a work of the early 1900s; it depicts a roe deer, deer and wild boar. Every piece of it is painted; made with schwarzlott technique. The stained glass is ripe for restoration after nearly a hundred years.
